2018 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate Black Edition: Big SUV, Big Luxury

Posted by

The 2018 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate Black Edition is an impressive name for one impressive SUV. While smaller and smaller crossovers are making their way into showrooms, GMC takes it decidedly in the other direction with its latest luxurious offering.

The Yukon in any of its guises isn’t a timid vehicle. It’s a three-row SUV with room for up to nine passengers who will enjoy standard amenities like a Bose premium audio system, OnStar with 4G LTE and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and tri-zone climate control. The Yukon is a luxury vehicle with the base SLE starting at $48,530.

If that’s not bold enough you can opt for the Yukon XL with its extended wheelbase. There’s more room for people and cargo and the starting price takes only a small step up the ladder to $51,230. Still not enough SUV for you? Fine.

For you, there’s the Yukon Denali in both the standard and extended wheelbase. The Denali vehicles in the GMC lineup are the most luxurious with much of what’s optional on lower trim levels included as standard features.

Pricing takes a rather large leap up to $65,965 as the Yukon becomes a true luxury SUV in Denali form. The list of standard features is long with remote start, wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second row, and power-folding second and third rows.

If the well-equipped Denali trim still isn’t enough, then take a look at the new Denali Ultimate Black Edition. It takes the Denali and adds a unique exterior package along with even more standard features.

These include black-painted 22-inch wheels with chrome inserts, polished exhaust tip, chrome mirror caps, premium carpeted floor mats and Onyx Black exterior paint. Inside, there’s no compromise with both the Open Road Package and Enhanced Security Package included as standard features.

Those packages add a power sunroof, rear-seat entertainment system, power-retractable assist steps, interior motion detectors, glass breakage sensors, self-powered horn, and vertical movement sensors. Adaptive cruise control and forward automatic braking are also standard.

Despite the popularity of compact crossovers, there’s a big market for big luxury SUVs. They offer the capability of an SUV with all the features of a luxury car and let people know you have truly arrived. The 2018 GMC Yukon Denali Limited Black Edition will ensure your arrival doesn’t go unnoticed.
