Supercars like the Bentley Continental GT, Maserati Grand Tourismo, and Rolls-Royce Wraith sound expensive to buy. They are, but what would it cost you per month to lease one?
Aston Martin recently announced that it would begin leasing its super-exclusive models. The company says that the monthly leases would range in price from about $1,500 to about $2,300. As it turns out, that is a relative bargain and below the cost to lease a top of the line premium sedan like the Mercedes S-Class or Audi S8. We wanted to know what the leases of some of the world’s most famous makes and models cost, so we turned to Swapalease, and they gave us a comprehensive list of actual lease prices for some posh vehicles.
Swapalease is a leading facilitator of lease transfers. The company is a matchmaker of sorts, that brings together those with a leased car they wish to move out of early, and those looking for great deals on leases that just might come without having to pay any down payment. As such, Swapalease has the inside scoop on what some of the most exclusive cars in the world will set you back. Here is a quick list of some of the most famous cars on the list:
2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith – $3,925 per month
2013 Maserati Grand Tourismo – $2,990 per month
2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed – $2,875 per month
2014 Porsche Panamera – $2,750 per month
2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class – $2,600 per month
Some fun observations we came up with looking at the list include the following. In order to afford a lease on the Rolls-Royce, one would have to earn about $72,000 before taxes just to pay for the car. The total cost to drive the Mercedes S-Class for 39 months, the duration of many leases, is over one hundred thousand dollars. Just as a point of comparison, a Tesla Model S lease would run an owner in the $900 dollar per month range. The country’s most common car, the Toyota Camry leases for about $300 per month.
