There are certain things one expects in a James Bond movie. There must be evil villains, hidden lairs, shaken-not-stirred martinis, and plenty of car chases featuring beautiful, exotic cars. The latest Bond film, Spectre, is set to open on November 6th and this last trailer for the movie seems to have all the necessary boxes checked.

Bond will once again be at the wheel of an Aston Martin, this time a DB10 that will be involved in a nighttime chase through the streets of Rome with villain Mr. Hinx. It’s possible that Hinx got the cooler end of this deal as he’s driving a Jaguar that never made it past the concept stage. How does one come to own a concept car? Hey, when you’re an evil villain, anything is possible.

The Jaguar in question is the C-X75 which debuted at the 2010 Paris Auto Show to celebrate the brand’s 75th anniversary. It won all sorts of awards and was slated for production, but Jaguar changed its mind. Instead, it’s something of a test car, showcasing the use of carbon fiber and advanced technologies that give it serious performance skills.

The car can go from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds and has a top speed over 200 mph. James better get a move on if he wants to outrun Mr. Hinx and save the world from imminent destruction.

In addition to the Jaguar/Aston Martin chase, there is also a winter chase featuring a Range Rover Sport SVR, some Defenders, and an airplane. This is a James Bond film so of course there are more than just cars involved in the car chase.

It’s not just about car chases, although those are always some of the best parts of Bond films. This final trailer has some helicopter action, plenty of gunfire, and a building collapsing as Bond runs for his life and looks to be partly sucked into the destruction.

No worries, this is James Bond. The guy is more hardy than a cockroach only he looks a heck of a lot better in his bespoke suit as he narrowly avoids being killed.

It really doesn’t matter how nice a car Mr. Hinx drives. In the end, we all know Bond, at least, is going to come out alive and ready to take on the next bad guy bent on world domination.
