Car Talk Selects BestRide as Web Content Partner

NEEDHAM, MA -- BestRide.com, the destination for savvy online car shoppers, announces that Car Talk has chosen the nationally recognized vehicle purchase site as a partner to bring creative content and trustworthy car buying services to Car Talk users.

“There are lots of sites on the web that just want to funnel car buyers to dealers, and pluck out a commission for it,” said Car Talk Executive Producer Doug Berman. “BestRide’s roots in the newspaper business taught them to provide genuinely useful and engaging content along the way, and that’s why Car Talk and BestRide match up so well.”

BestRide’s Editor-in-Chief, Craig Fitzgerald, echoes that sentiment. “We’ve thought about other partners, but Car Talk’s audience isn’t just enthusiasts. They think of their cars as more than just transportation. They’re engaged. They’re smart. They’re funny. They’re exactly the people we want to talk to.”

David Prock, Vice President and Managing Director of BestRide, says that he believes that the partnership will benefit the audiences of both sites. “Never before have Car Talk’s users had the opportunity to access both content and purchasing options from a provider they know they can trust as much as they trust Car Talk. We’re incredibly honored that Car Talk has chosen us as the one and only car buying site to spotlight to their audience. And for BestRide users, obviously having easier access to the wealth of great, funny, useful content Car Talk shares, alongside the features of our site that they already love, is a win-win situation.”

The two organizations plan to integrate their online content, adding creative, useful content, with deep resources for visitors to both bestride.com and cartalk.com.

The first content partnership between Car Talk and BestRide.com launches today with a photo contest where fans will submit their best vacation road trip photos. Car Talk fans will submit their favorite photos for a chance to win a Car Talk/BestRide.com gift pack including T-shirts, a Car Talk CD and a $50 gas card to fund their next epic road trip.

The Car Talk web site now features a BestRide research and buying tool, BestRide’s latest blogs, and has BestRide content integrated throughout the site. The BestRide web site features content produced by Car Talk editors and producers. Online content will be offered through the social media channels of both organizations.
