Are you a used car person? Consider a new car a bad value because it loses so much value when it drives off the lot? New cars aren’t for everyone, and for people who like their cars pre-driven the experts at Edmunds rated the best used cars from 2006-2011.
What makes a great used vehicle is a matter of opinion, but the Edmunds testers looked at what most folks will be interested in: reliability, safety, value and availability. Testers bypassed unreliable, unsafe, expensive and limited-edition cars.
You can check out the entire list at Edmunds.com, but here’s just a sample of what made the list: The capable Honda Fit, the reliable Honda Accord and the powerful Chevrolet Corvette. For best convertible, Edmunds tapped the Volvo C70 adding that the Mazda MX-5 is a top two-seater choice.
