Ken Block sure does know how to tear up the slopes, even without skis or a snowboard. This time he’s behind the wheel of his unstoppable 2014 Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX letting the beast loose on a snow-covered mountain and it’s a sight to behold.
He’s joined on his little jaunt by pro snowbarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss on a ridiculously fun romp around Baldface Lodge in Nelson, British Columbia. Block’s truck simply eats the drifts of snow like they’re nothing while Hale and Deiss carve up the slopes, jumping right over Block and at one point even being towed along behind the RaptorTRAX.
It’s the kind of thing your inner twelve-year-old really wants to try, but that the grown-up you understands would have you dead in the snow in under five minutes. That doesn’t make it any less fun to see these guys pulling off their stunts.
Watch all the way through to the end of this one, because it’s not really over when it’s over. There are the requisite fireworks at night with the RaptorTRAX on display and then there’s a little slopeside grilling that shows off a feature everyone is going to be wanting to add to their truck.
There’s a mount off the back of the truckbed for a grill, and the boys cook up some wieners and, of course, many wiener jokes are made because that inner twelve-year-old is alive and well in this video. The whole thing almost makes you look forward to the coming winter. Almost.
