For the fourth year in a row, Honda is the exclusive automotive partner of the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway. The winner of this year’s home, which is located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, gets not only a gorgeous home, but $250,000 in cash and a 2019 Honda Passport Elite.
The Dream Home is the work of interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn. He worked to create a home that would suit anyone whether a family, empty nesters, or a young couple. There’s no way of knowing who will win so Flynn strove to give the interior a look that had wide appeal.
The three-story, three-and-a-half-bathroom home is located in a gated community in Hilton Head Island. It has a beautiful view of the water the moment you walk through the front doors that lead straight through the house to a backyard perfect for entertaining.
The interior is colored in soothing blues and greens with pops of coral to brighten up the look. The open floor plan includes a master suite on the main floor and a a mudroom with a built-in kennel for the family pup.
Available in a range of four trims, the Passport is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque paired to a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission. The top Elite features standard all-wheel drive along with snow, sand, and mud modes optimized for specific driving conditions.
There’s seating for five passengers along with plenty of room for cargo. There’s 41.2 cubic feet behind the second-row and 77.5 cubic feet behind the first row. It can also tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Inside, seating is comfortable and roomy with a wide range of convenience features standard on the Elite. These include a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seating trims, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.
There’s an 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. Navigation is also standard on the Elite along with wireless phone charging and one USB port.
Safety features are extensive with standard Honda Sensing across the Passport lineup. This includes collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. All but the base trim also includes blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
Pricing starts at $31,990 for the Passport Sport with front-wheel drive and tops out with the Passport Elite with all-wheel drive for $43,680. That doesn’t matter for whoever wins this year’s Dream Home because they’ll get a Honda Passport as a part of their prize.
That winner could be you. Head to HGTV where you can enter to win twice a day through 5 pm ET Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Look for a special to air in May highlighting the winner of this incredible prize package.
