With the 2013 NFL season drawing lose to the end; the best players from some of the best teams in the league are preparing to play in the first ever “non-conferenced” Pro Bowl game. As the best new and used car website on the internet, BestRide.com could not help but wonder what kind of cars these tremendous athletes drive. Here is a look at only a few, leaving next week’s Super Bowl star’s rides untouched (possibly for a later article?).
Vernon Davis San Francisco 49ers Tight End # 85
San Francisco fell just short of the big dance but, as anyone can see, their players are not falling short when it comes to pristine rolling stock. Pro Bowl tight end, Vernon Davis has at least three extraordinary rides.
The first is a 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8. The ’10 SRT8 rolls off the assembly line with 425hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque from a 6.1-liter hemi-engine. Vince has added 22” Forgiato Veccio rims, which are red with white accents, an Eibach Pro lowering kit, Angel Eyes headlights, painted rally stripes, an opulent suede headliner, and tinted windows.
Vernon also lists a British-made 2013 Bentley Continental GTC. This Bentley is a convertible coupe that comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged W12 engine, pumping out 567hp and 518 lb.-ft. of torque. The Continental GTS blasts-off from 0-60 in just 4.5-seconds.
Additionally, Vernon cruises in a matched set of Caddys. A 2013 Cadillac Escalade and 2013 Escalade EXT (every man needs a pickup truck) fitted with the exact same wheels. They are 26” Giovanna Delars with Pirelli tires. Both trucks are also adorned with Strut black mesh grilles, smoked taillights, and tinted windows.
Joe Haden Cleveland Browns Cornerback # 23
Joe Haden, standout defensive cornerback for the Cleveland Browns, rocks a 2013 Land Rover Range Rover in pearl white with color matched 24-inch Maglia rims. The Range Rover is the epitome of luxurious SUVs with powerful acceleration, elegant leather interior, and stunning aesthetics. The white paint and matching white rims really set Joe’s Range Rover off.
Eric Berry Kansas City Chiefs Safety # 29
Eric Berry, the former Tennessee Volunteer, has proven to be quite an asset to the K.C. Chiefs defense. Eric’s whip is a 2013 Chevy Tahoe with 26″ Giovanna Dalar 6V wheels, in matte black and machined two tone finish. Again the color matched Giovanna rims seem to bring the appearance of the truck together. The Chevy Tahoe is one of the most popular and best selling SUVs on the market. With a powerful 5.3-liter V8 engine, miles of interior room, and every available amenity, it easy to see why this punishing hitter chose the Tahoe.
Frank Gore San Francisco 49ers Running Back # 21
Frank Gore proves that he not only knows how to “pound the rock” he also knows style and class in an automobile. His 2013 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe is accented with the ultra-posh brushed aluminum hood. It is offered with only one engine choice; a 6.7-liter V12 that manufactures 453hp. The car is staggered on 26-inch Forgiato Andata wheels with brushed aluminum centers and black windows with a chrome lip. This classic looking whip is made all the better with a convertible top. However, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of around $475,000 will give you a neck snapping, eye-popping case of sticker shock.
