Texas Police Department’s Matthew McConaughey Lincoln Parody is the Parody to End All Parodies

Posted by

We’ve seen parodies of the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln ad from Ellen Degeneres, Conan O’Brien, SNL and pretty much everybody with a TV camera now, but this parody from the Cedar Hill Police Department in Texas KILLS IT DEAD. After this one, NO MORE.

The parody video features Sgt. Larry Wise driving around on patrol duty at night, pondering the mysteries of life, Rust Cohle-style:

“I like being in here, driving around all night long contemplating the important questions in life. Who am I? Why am I still on duty? Is the officer assigned to this squad looking for it right now? What is this on my fingers and why won’t it come off? Is it mystery pocket goo from that last guy I searched?”

Hang in there for the end. It’s great. “Pretty good for an Explorer.”
