The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is taking a ride down a well-knwon street with a crew of beloved characters. Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, and the rest of the Sesame Street team have joined up with Chrysler to promote the new minivan.
Chrysler announced this week that they are now a sponsor of Sesame Street and kicked off the news with a series of short videos highlighting the Pacifica and having fun with everyone’s favorite puppets. There will be ten videos all together with the first four launching on Chrysler’s YouTube channel this week.
The idea behind the first set of videos is to show off the many convenience and safety features of the minivan by putting all the Sesame Street characters through a game show-style contest. Guy Smiley, in the snazziest of shiny blue blazers, hosts the show.
He and the gang are joined by the Pacifica Kids who have been an ongoing part of the Pacifica’s add campaign. They’re cute, but the puppets are really much cuter. Who can resist all that childhood nostalgia?
The Chrysler Pacifica is an entirely new minivan that replaces the outgoing Town & Country. It has over 100 available safety features to set the minds of parents at ease along with the versatility families demand.
There’s a surround-view camera that presents a unified 360-degree view and a bird’s eye view of the area around the Pacifica. Blind-spot monitoring, rear park assist, rear backup camera, electronic stability control, and electric park brake are standard. Optional safety features include ParkSense parallel parking and perpendicular park assist.
The Pacifica is also the first minivan available with a hybrid powertrain. It has an all-electric range of 33 miles and gets 84 MPGe. That summer road trip just got a lot more affordable. Pricing on the Chrysler Pacifica starts at $28,995 for the gas powertrain and $41,995 for the hybrid.
