The Lexus RX 300 launched in 1998 and defined the midsize, luxury SUV market. It’s still the dominant vehicle in the class, but the competition has caught up and surpassed it in many ways. The all-new 2016 Lexus RX attempts to secure the brand’s position at the top of the heap.
What Is It?
The Lexus RX 350 is a five-passenger midsize, luxury SUV with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and a 3.5-liter V-6 delivering 300hp. The RX 450h is a hybrid variant that utilizes a 3.5-liter Atkinson Cycle V-6 combined with an electric motor to deliver a 300hp equivalent.
