The 2017 Land Rover Evoque Convertible takes the Evoque’s sharp looks and adds the fun of a folding top.
What Is It?
The Evoque represents Land Rover’s bid for buyers who think young and emphasize personal style, and so a convertible version is an obvious next step.
Nissan’s Murano CrossCabriolet could be considered a competitor, though Land Rover puts more emphasis on the Evoque Convertible’s off-road prowess, as it calls it “the most capable all-terrain convertible in the world.”
What Land Rover Is Saying:
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer:
“Range Rover Evoque Convertible is a vehicle for all seasons. Its uniquely distinctive design and world-class engineering adds another dimension to the Range Rover family, further enhancing its desirability and appeal.”
What’s New For 2017:
- Unique Z-frame top folds in 18 seconds and can be lowered at speeds up to 30 mph
- Cargo capacity is reduced to 8.9 cubic feet but has a ski hatch
- InControl Touch Pro with 10.2 inch touch screen
When Will It Go On Sale?
Look to be able to drop an Evoque’s top sometime around summer 2016.
