LA Auto Show: 2016 Nissan Sentra

Posted by

The refreshed 2016 Nissan Sentra debuts with bold styling, along with a competitive collection of technology and safety upgrades.

What Is It?

The Sentra is Nissan’s compact sedan, and it’s up against the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra, etc.

As a player in one of the market’s most competitive segments, the Sentra adopts the dramatic front-end styling first adopted by the Maxima, and it makes available the driver-assist technologies that buyers are increasingly embracing.

What Nissan Is Saying:

Shiro Nakamura, senior vice president and chief creative officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd:

“A major element of Nissan’s ‘Innovation that excites’ philosophy is innovative styling that continues to excite buyers throughout the entire period of ownership.

The 2016 Sentra’s new exterior adds a sense of sportiness to the refined style and proportions, as well as adding a strong connection to the Nissan sedan and crossover family.”

What’s New For 2016:

  • New front-end styling
  • New TFT LCD instrument panel display
  • Available Siri Eyes Free Voice Recognition
  • NissanConnect powered by SiriusXM
  • New safety systems, including: Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
