This week’s safety recall update, brought to you by, includes a pair of Japanese imports that total nearly 140,000 units. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is working overtime making sure that consumers are delivered the safest product possible. The Beater File: 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis LS

In 1983, Ford was nervously rolling out its aerodynamic jellybean shapes with the Thunderbird/Cougar and then the Tempo/Topaz.
