SAFETY RECALL UPDATE November 15, 2014

Safety recall updates have become a very common occurrence. Only a little over a year ago BestRide.com could have provided National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) safety recall updates once a month or even less frequently. Now, there are brand new updates every week. Where BestRide.com could once provide consumers with a complete list of all NHTSA safety recall updates, weekly, we now have to concentrate on campaigns that involve more than 100,000 individual units. Mecum’s annual Anaheim auction, held from November 13 through 15, 2014, saw this trend continue as a 1965 Ferrari 275 stole the show and garnered a top closing bid of $2,150,000. Three Ford GTs took the next three places and a 1953 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible seized the number five spot. Let’s take a closer look at these five outstanding automobiles, and  the next five as well. (more…)

Meet the New Cadillac ATS-V.R

Just a week ahead of the introduction of the brand’s first compact performance model, the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe (at the Los Angeles Auto Show - November 24 through 30, 2014), Cadillac unveiled an all-new race car at one of America’s premier racing venues, the Circuit of the America’s. Dubbed the ATS V.R, the racing extension of the 2016 Cadillac ATS V Coupe boasts a capacity of up to 600-horsepower in a  package that meets FIA GT3 specifications, yielding a highly coveted pedigree that would allow the car to compete with the likes of Aston Martin, Audi, Ferrari, BMW, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche, in more than 30 different GT Series around the world. ”The V-Series is the highest expression of Cadillac’s rising product substance,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “Elevating and expanding the V-Series is the next logical step in Cadillac’s growth, including this new race car developed in GT3-specification, enabling us to pursue racing on a more global scale.” (more…)
